Generating a Certificate License
In this exercise, you generate a certificate license for 3 of the 10 copies of the PhotoPrint-cert product to which the customer is entitled.
Prerequisites
Log in to the FlexNet Operations Producer Portal and use the referenced procedures in the section Getting Started with Entitlement Management to:

Search for and select the PhotoPrint check box, then click Copy |

In the Product Name field, type PhotoPrint-cert and click Save |

To generate a certificate license from an entitlement
|
1.

Log in to the FlexNet Operations Producer Portal, if you have not already done so. |
|
2.
|
Click Entitlements > List Entitlements. The List Entitlements page appears. |
|
3.
|
In the Activatable Line Items table, search for and click the Activation ID link for the PhotoPrint-cert product. The Line Item Details window opens. |
|
4.
|
Review the details of the line item, noting that Qty and Qty Remaining are both 10, Start Date Option is Use First Activation Date, and License Model is Floating Counted. Click Cancel at the bottom to close the window. |

5.
|
In the Activatable Line Items table, select the PhotoPrint-cert line item check box and click Activate. The List Entitlements page for the line item appears. |

|
To configure the host, click Next. Under Generate Licenses, click Add New Host. The Create License Host window opens. |
|
7.
|
On the Server Hosts drop-down list, select ANY. Click OK to add ANY to the host list and close the window. |
|

|
Under Generate Licenses, select the ANY host check box, then click Next. The List Entitlements | Configure Counts page appears, listing the PhotoPrint-cert Activation ID and showing that Qty and Unallocated Qty are both 10. |

Type 3 in the Fulfill Count field, then click Next. The List Entitlements | Generate Licenses - Review page appears. |

|
Click Verify to verify the validity of the license, then click Generate. The Generated Licenses page appears, listing PhotoPrint-cert with License Hosts ANY and a Count of 3. Note the Fulfill Date and Expiration. |

On the Generated Licenses page, click Complete. The List Entitlements page appears, listing PhotoPrint-cert with an Available Quantity of 7, Total Quantity of 10, and Expiration one year from the first activation date. |

|
Click Licenses > Licenses. The Support Licenses And Maintenance page appears, listing PhotoPrint-cert with License Hosts ANY, and a Count of 3. Note the Fulfill Date and Expiration. |

Click the PhotoPrint-cert Fulfillment ID link to review the information in the Fulfillment Details window, then click Cancel at the bottom to close the window. |

14.
|
On the Support Licenses And Maintenance page, select the check box next to the PhotoPrint-cert license, then click Save to File. When you are asked whether you want to open or save the license file, select Open. |

Review the contents of the license file, which look similar to: |

Note that any host can be used, a license server is required, and note that the count is 3 in the licensing information of each of the three features in the product. Close the license file when you are done.
