Assigning an Account to a Device
You can assign a customer or partner account to an existing device from the device’s default view for a device or server page. (See About Accounts for more information about customer and partner accounts.)
Note:Auto-provisioned license servers that have entitlements mapped for metered features cannot be moved to another account. Refer to Auto-Provisioning for more information.
To assign an account to a device
1. | Click Edit > Assign Account. The Assign Account page opens. |
2. | For Account ID, click the search icon. The End Customer and Channel Partners window opens. |
a. | Choose an account. |
b. | Click Save. |
The End Customer and Channel Partners window closes, the Account ID is set to the ID of the account you chose, and the Account Name is populated.
3. | Click Assign account. |
The Producer Portal changes the account of the device and opens its default view for a device or server page.
Devices that do not have a customer account assigned to them can also be moved to a partner account. (See Moving a Device.)
