About Accounts
An account is an entity in FlexNet Operations. Accounts can represent the structure of a customer enterprise, the internal structure of your software publisher or device manufacturer and, optionally, the relationships between the publisher and its distribution chain. Each entitlement is tied to at least one account
Accounts can have sub-accounts, which can be used to reflect the hierarchical nature of corporate structures. Accounts and sub-accounts are defined in a parent-child relationship. For example, you could define Acme Global as the main account, and set up Acme US and Acme EMEA as sub-accounts.
An account hierarchy can have multiple levels to flexibly accommodate different models. For example, a single account can have multiple sub-accounts, which would share a sibling relationship. Sub-accounts can themselves have sub-accounts. In addition, accounts can have multiple parents.
Note:It is recommended that the total number of associated sub-accounts for any given account does not exceed 1000.
