Activating a License
All activatable items are displayed in the List Entitlements page: items that generate certificate licenses and items that cause licenses to be written to trusted storage. By default, only line items that have any remaining copies are shown in this page. To see line items that do not have any copies remaining, perform an advanced search.
| 1. | Click Entitlements > List Entitlements. |
| 2. | Search for an activation ID (entitlement or Web register key) against which to generate a license. |
| 3. | Select one or more activation IDs and click Activate or Trusted Activate, depending on the license type of the line item. You can select two entitlement line items that specify the same license model type (node-locked counted, floating counted, etc.) and activate licenses against them using the same wizard. You cannot do this with upgrade, upsell, or renewal entitlement line items. |
| 4. | Complete the steps in the Activate Licenses wizard (certificate) or Trusted Activate wizard (trusted storage). |
