Mapping a Maintenance to a Part Number

A maintenance product can be mapped to one or more part numbers. Part numbers are optional and are selected from a group of unassigned part numbers that have been added or imported into FlexNet Operations.

Note:If you are already on the Map Part Numbers to Maintenance page, skip to step 4.

To map a maintenance to a part number

2. Search, as necessary, to show the maintenance for which you want to map part numbers. Then click the name of the maintenance product. This opens the Create Maintenance page for that maintenance.
3. On the Create Maintenance page, click Next. This opens the Map Part Numbers to Maintenance page.
4. Click Map to Part Numbers. A pop-up window appears in which you can search for and select one or more of the Available Part Numbers. (Note that the list of part numbers may be large enough to appear on multiple pages in the pop-up window.)
a. Click the part numbers you want to map to the maintenance.
b. Click the right arrow to move those part numbers to the Selected Part Numbers list.
c. When the Selected Part Numbers list is complete, click OK to map the part numbers to the maintenance product.

If necessary, click the Reset button to reset mapped part numbers.

To remove the mapping between selected part numbers and this maintenance, select those part numbers and click the Remove Part Numbers button.

5. Complete the mapping process by clicking either Save or Next.
Click Save to save the mapping of part numbers to the maintenance product.
Click Next to relate a maintenance product to other products. (See Relating Suites to Other Products for instructions.)
