Managing Custom Host Attributes

Licenses are usually bound to either a node or a host. Defining a host attribute allows you to use the host as the criteria for capabilities like batch rehosts, searching and sorting on hosts, and listing all fulfillments for a given host.

The Custom Host Attributes page lists attributes with the following information:

Custom Attributes Information
Field	Description
Name	Name of the custom attribute
Type	Type of value the custom attribute accepts: Boolean, Date, Text (free form or single select), Multi-valued text, or Long Text.
License Technology	Name of the license technology to which the attribute belongs.
Host Type	Type of host for the custom attribute.

Click an attribute name to view its details.

Click Add a Host Attribute to create a custom host attribute.

Select the box next to an attribute and click Delete to delete it. Custom host attributes cannot be deleted if the associated license technology is in Deployed status.
