Managing Custom Host Attributes
You can manage your custom host attributes from the Custom Host Attributes page.
Custom host attributes apply only to host types of custom license technologies and provide a way for producers to capture information that can be used to generate host IDs for custom license technology fulfillments.
Licenses are usually bound to either a node or a host. Defining a host attribute allows you to create a host ID for a host and to use the host as the criteria for capabilities like batch rehosts, searching and sorting on hosts, and listing all fulfillments for a given host.
If custom host attributes are defined for a host type, FlexNet Operations displays them to users when they create a host of that type.
The topics below discuss how to add, list, and delete custom host attributes.
Note:For information about entity-specific custom attributes or custom license attributes, see Managing Custom Attributes or Managing Custom License Attributes, respectively.
