Custom Host Attribute Settings

Custom host attributes have the following settings:

Setting	Description
Name	Type a name to identify this custom host attribute.
License Technology	The type of license technology with which the attribute is to be used.
Host Type	Select a host type from the list provided.
Required?	Choose Yes or No to specify whether this custom attribute is required or optional. If required, a value for this attribute must be set when the entity is created. For more information about required and optional custom attributes, see Required Attributes and Optional Attributes in About Custom Attributes.
Type	The data type of the values the custom attribute accepts. Type cannot be changed once set. Choose from the following: • Number • Text (requires Max. Length and Text Type settings) • Long Text (requires Display Type setting) • Boolean • Date For details about these data types, see Custom Attribute Data Types in About Custom Attributes.
