Downloading a License File for a Device

If a license has been generated for a device, you can download its license file from the default view for a device or server page.

To download a license file

Click View > Download License File.

The Producer Portal sends the license file (typically, license.bin). The download experience depends on the web browser you are using.

Tip:A device’s license format settings determine which, if any, of its features are included in a license file. Devices inherit their license format settings from their device model. You can download a license file for a device that stores either its pre-installed license or its pre-installed license plus additional licenses in a license file. (Devices that store both the pre-installed license and additional licenses in trusted storage use capability requests and responses rather than license files.)
