Downloading a Response for a Device Request

If a capability response has been generated for a device, you can download that response from the default view for a device or server page.

To download a capability response

Click View > Download Response.

The Producer Portal sends the capability response (typically <device ID>.bin for a device, <license server ID>.bin for a server). The download experience depends on the web browser you are using.

Tip:A device’s license format settings determine which, if any, of its features are described in capability responses. Devices inherit their license format settings from their device model. You can download a response for a device that stores either its pre-installed license or its pre-installed license plus additional licenses in trusted storage. (Devices that store both the pre-installed license and additional licenses in a license file do not have response files to download.)
