Linking Product Lines to User Accounts
When the product lines functionality (with visibility restrictions) is enabled, FlexNet Operations filters what customer users see based on the product lines linked to the users’ accounts. Only line items that include products in product lines to which the user account is linked are visible.
Important:A user account cannot be linked to product lines until the user has been linked to accounts.
The required product lines functionality can be enabled in System > Configure > FlexNet Operations > Enable Product Lines for Products, Users, and Accounts. (See Managing Product Lines for details.)
To link product lines to a user account
1. | On the Create a User page, click Link Product Lines. The Select Product Lines for the User page opens in a pop-up window. |
2. | On the Select Product Lines for the User page, select the product lines you want to link, and click OK. |
Product lines are linked to the current user account when you click OK. It is only necessary to save the user account if you have made other changes to the user.
To remove product lines from a user account
1. | On the Create a User page, select the product lines you want to remove and click Remove Product Lines. |
2. | Click OK to confirm the removal. |
