About Server Host Types

A server host type works with servers like a device model works with devices; it establishes a default identity and a default host ID type for servers created based on the server host type.

Producer Portal users have a predefined server host type: FLX_SERVER. FLX_SERVER facilitates the creation of servers without the need for new users to define their own server host types, and is associated, by default, with the first identity that the producer creates. Although FLX_SERVER is initially designated as the default server host type, Producer Portal users can later designate any server host type as the default.
