Server Host Type Attributes

Server host type attributes are similar to device model attributes. These attributes are used when searching, adding, and editing server host types.


Attribute	Description
Server Host Type Name	A unique identifier for the server host type. This value must be unique per producer.
Description	A description for the server host type.
Alias	An alias for the server host type.
Default Host ID Type	Specifies a default host ID type for servers based on this server host type. This host ID type is used if a server is created without specifying a host ID Type. Two special host types appear in the Default Host ID Type attribute: PUBLISHER_DEFINED and EXTENDED. Identity	The publisher identity for the license server.
Default	A check box that designates the current server host type as the default server host type. If you create a license server without specifying a server host type, the default server host type is used for that server.
Pre-installed Product	The product that determines the features included in the pre-installed license for license servers of this server host type. Pre-installed product settings also determine the license model, license model attributes, and expiration terms used in the pre-installed license for such license servers. When a pre-installed product is specified for a server host type, that pre-installed product is used for license servers based on that server host type unless a different pre-installed product is specified when the license server is created.
