Transferring Entitlement Line Items

You can transfer unfulfilled copies of an entitlement line item from one account to another.

To do this, the account that is to receive the entitlement must be defined in FlexNet Operations. This is done using the Producer Portal’s account management capabilities. (See Managing Accounts.)

As part of this transfer process, you can choose to either create a new entitlement for the transferred entitlement line item or to add it to an existing entitlement for that target account. You can also maintain the Activation ID or create a new one. The Transfer Entitlement Line Item Wizard walks you through each of these choices.

After the license rights are transferred, the Activation ID may change (depending on your wizard selections). A new entitlement line item is created for the target account.
