Disassociating a File from a Download Package

You can remove associations between a file and one or more download packages from the View File page. You might need to disassociate a file from a download package to replace it with a new version of the file for a hotfix or to correct a file-download package that had been made in error.

Note:Remember that a file must be associated with a download package for it to appear in the End-User Portal. Therefore, you can effectively cease distribution of an existing file by disassociating it from all download packages.

To disassociate a file from a download package

1. On the View File page, click Associate > Disassociate from Download Packages. This link opens the Disassociate this File from Download Packages page.
2. Choose the download packages to disassociate and click Disassociate from Selected Download Packages.

The Producer Portal removes associations from the selected download packages and refreshes the Disassociate this File from Download Packages page to show the current file-download package associations, if any.

Tip:If a file is associated with multiple download packages and you intend to remove all download package associations, you can skip the step in which you choose the download packages and just click Disassociate from All Download Packages.
