Usage Management

FlexNet Usage Management allows producers to flexibly track, view, and report on feature usage in the usage-capture clients. FlexNet Operations’ usage management features support compliance management licensing models.

In the FlexNet Operations Producer Portal, you define the metered license model, features, products, and entitlements to model the usage events your clients are capturing. The exercises in this getting started section walk through the setup in the Producer Portal necessary to connect with the “survey” feature included in the FlexNet Embedded licensing code samples.

As usage capture data is collected in your license servers and uploaded to FlexNet Operations, you can also use the Producer Portal to view graphs and gauges of your customers’ usage.

Connecting to the back office, producers can also pull usage data in CSV format via reconcilation summary requests.
