Usage Management: Obtaining the License Server URL

The URL for the license server instance hosted in the FlexNet Cloud Licensing Service is the location where your FlexNet licensing client sends its usage capture data.

Tip:This getting started section uses the FlexNet Operations User Acceptance Testing (UAT) site for demonstration purposes. Any URLs mentioned will need to be adjusted when used in Production.

For a connected software client using FlexNet licensing, such as the FlexNet Embedded C SDK or FlexNet Embedded XT, the URL is:

https://<siteID>-uat.compliance.flexnetoperations.com/instances/<CLS instance ID>/request

In the URL, above, <siteID> is the site ID for your account and <CLS instance ID> is the license server ID of the license server to which usage capture data is sent. For example, the <CLS instance ID> value based on the auto-provisioned license server instance created in the exercises in this section would be 3VH8MNZESMSP.
