To create Example Survey

1. In the Producer Portal, click Products > Products. The Producer Portal opens the Products page.
2. On the Products page, click Add New Product. This button opens the Create a Product page.
3. On the Create a Product page, set the Product Name, Version, License Technology, Can Be Used on a Device, and Usage Model as shown in the table above.

Note:A usage model must be set for reconciliation to take place and to be able to view usage gauges and graphs. Also, be aware that usage models labeled as monthly statements refer to a rolling 30-day window and not a calendar month.

Important:Products using the same feature must be configured with the same usage model per account. For an account, the usage model that is specified for a product containing a specific feature will be the usage model that is used for subsequent entitlements or products containing that specific feature.

Example:

Product A (feature f1) and product B (features f1 and f2)
Account C is first entitled to product A (feature f1) with usage model Monthly Statements (No Reset)
Account C is then entitled to product B (features f1 and f2) with usage model Monthly Statements (Reset Monthly)
Account C will use usage model Monthly Statements (No Reset) for both products A and B because they both contain feature f1 which was included in the first entitlement.

If Account C was first entitled to product B (features f1 and f2) with usage model Monthly Statements (Reset Monthly), this usage model would be used for both products/entitlements for the account.

4. Click Add Features. The Producer Portal opens the Add Features to Product page in a pop-up window.
a. Locate the feature, survey, 1.0., and click Add. This selects the feature and moves it to the Selected Features list.
b. Click Add. The Producer Portal closes the Add Features to Product window.
5. On the Create a Product page, set the Quantity for the survey feature to 1, and click Next. (For a counted feature, this is the feature count per copy of the product ordered.) The Producer Portal opens the Link License Models to Product page.
6. Click Link License Models to open the Select License Models page in a pop-up window.
a. Locate the license model, Example Metered License Model, and click Add. This selects the license model and moves it to the Selected License Models list.
b. Click Add. The Producer Portal closes the Select License Models window.
7. Click Next until you see the Map Product to Product Line page. (Depending on your Producer Portal configuration, you will pass a few pages—such as Map Part Numbers to Products and Relate to Different Products—without making any changes.)
8. On the Map Product to Product Line page, do either of the following to specify the product line Example Product Line:
In the Product Line field, type Example Product Line.
Click the search icon next to the Product Line box. The Producer Portal opens the Select Product Line for Product page in a pop-up window. Search for and select product line Example Product Line, then click OK. The Producer Portal closes the Select Product Line for Product window.
9. Click Save.

The Producer Portal saves Example Survey and remains on the Map Product to Product Line page.
