Usage Management: Creating a Product Line

In the Producer Portal, use the commands under the Products menu to create a product line. No particular settings are required for usage capture. The following instructions create a product line called Example Product Line.

To create the Example Product Line

1.

In the Producer Portal, click Products > Product Lines. The Producer Portal opens the Product Lines page.

On the Product Lines page, click Add Product Line. This button opens the Create Product Line page.

On the Create Product Line page, type the name of the product line: Example Product Line.

Click Save.

The Producer Portal saves Example Product Line. The product line is used as an attribute in the search criteria on the Usage Search page, when you want to view usage graphs or gauges for a particular product line.
