Containerized Applications

In this documentation, the term “containerized applications” refers to Docker images and Helm charts.

Like download files, you distribute containerized applications by associating them with a download package. However, containerized applications are not stored in the FlexNet Operations database, but in a separate registry that is hosted by Revenera or hosted by you, the software producer. You manage your containerized applications by associating them with a download package in FlexNet Operations, and by tagging and pushing them to their corresponding project in the Revenera registry using a Docker or Helm command-line interface (CLI).

Entitled customers can view the download packages and any associated Docker images or Helm charts in the End-User Portal. The End-User Portal also shows the path and pull command for downloading an image or chart directly from the registry. Customers must have a Docker or Helm client (CLI) installed to be able to pull images or charts from the registry.
