Adding a Pre-installed Product to a Device

You can add pre-installed products to a device from the default view for a device or server page. A pre-installed product defines a set of built-in features for a device. A device with no pre-installed products is a device with no built-in features; all features would be additional features.

Important:Be aware that a device model may include a default pre-installed product. In this case, adding another pre-installed product to the device overrides the device model’s pre-installed product.

To add a pre-installed product

1. On the default view for a device or server page, click Edit > Edit this Device/Server. The default Edit page for a device or server appears.
2. In the Pre-installed Licenses section of the page, click Add. The Add Pre-installed Product window opens.
3. In the Add Pre-installed Product window, click By product. The Select Product window opens. The Select Product window lists products with features permitted by the restrictions imposed (if any) by the device model’s device series.
4. In the Select Product window, select the pre-installed product and then click OK. The Select Product window closes, and the product name and product version of the selected product are shown on the Add Pre-installed Product page.
5. In the Add Pre-installed Product window, specify a license model, license model attributes (optional), and expiration terms.
